In order to view .pdf documents, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you can't view any of the .pdf files, you probably don't have it installed. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that you can download here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
If you can view most .pdf documents but can't view one in particular, send and email to: webmaster@buzardorgans.com detailing which file you cannot view.

In short, the answer is that you are probably using Internet Explorer version 6 or earlier. While Internet Explorer version 7 is better, Internet Explorer is a terrible web browser. We suggest switching to Mozilla Firefox, which you can download here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/. If you still want to use Internet Explorer, you should upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer.
The long answer to this question is a bit technical. If you have ever had a website that gave you never-ending pop-ups, this may have been caused by JavaScript. This website uses minimal amounts of JavaScript to provide interactive content. Most browsers recognize that this interactive content is not harmful, but Internet Explorer is overzealous in its attempt to protect users. Rather than providing actual security, Internet Explorer is designed to treat all JavaScript equally. In addition, the JavaScript that we use would not be necessary if Internet Explorer would abide by CSS 1.1 standards. If you add this to Internet Explorer's flagrant disregard for industry standards, the case for the short version of the answer is fairly evident.
If you are a Firefox user, all you need to do is go to this page http://ieview.mozdev.org/installation.html and install the IE View Extension. [I found it easiest to download it and then click on it.] Once that is installed, you can simply right click on the link and select "Open Link Target in IE".
